For most of my life, my work has been in healthcare: building a global advisory firm and working alongside some of the world's largest life science companies.
What comes next may look like a departure. Maybe even a detour.
But step back, let the pieces fall into place, and look hard at the challenges our world faces today. Perhaps it was always heading here. Looking back, so much of our lives seems to have been building to this moment.
Our passion has a name. We lovingly call it Maris Fons.
We're in stealth, so we won't say much yet about what we're building. But we can share what the name means.
It's Latin. Maris means “of the sea.” Fons means a spring, a fountain. Put them together and you get a spring of the sea.
Why the sea? Why a spring? And why now?
We'll leave those questions open for a while. What we will say is this: Maris Fons is about far more than building something people buy. It's about facing today's problems head-on, before they spiral out of control.
Waiting is no longer an option.
We don't have all the answers. In many ways, the field we're stepping into doesn't fully exist yet; it still has to be built. We'll be learning every step of the way, from partners, experts and the communities we hope to serve.
We are all hurtling towards the same future. People in different places, and in different economic circumstances, will need different things to get there. Some will need far more than others. Finding solutions will take all of us, working together.
The mountain ahead is steep, and most of the climb is still in front of us. We know that. We're ready for it.
This is about finding our way, together.
AI is the defining technology of our era. Water is the defining resource. Both are on a collision course.
